Credit Memo allows recording a return from the customer and retain as an available credit.

Credit Memo Window
- Credit No. is set to unique number generated based on transactions prefix defined in the Handheld Device Manager window in QuickBooks integrated module on desktop. The user is able to edit Credit No. value,
- Date is populated with the current date, not editable,
- Customer (customer's name), not editable.
- Items tab: allows editing the list of credit memo items with Name, Qty (credit memo quantity) and Rate fields.

Creating Credit Memo
HandiFox allows easily creating credit memo in the app.
- In the app, go to Main > Sales.
- Type customer's name in Look for customer field you want to create credit memo for or type % sign to see the list of the customers.
- Long tap on customer you want to create credit memo for and tap Credit Memo button.
- Tap New button to create new credit memo.
Editing Credit Memo
- In the app, go to Main > Sales.
- Type customer's name in Look for customer field you want to edit credit memo for or type % sign to see the list of the customers to find the correct one in the list.
- Long tap on customer you want to edit credit memo for and tap Credit Memo button.
- Tap any credit memo you want to edit and tap Edit button.
Adding Items for Credit Memo
- In the app, go to Main > Sales.
- Type customer's name in Look for customer field you want to edit credit memo for or type % sign to see the list of the customers to find the #correct one in the list.
- Long tap on customer you want to edit credit memo for and tap Credit Memo button.
- Tap any credit memo you want to edit and tap Edit button.
- Using Add button on Items tab or Enter button on SIP (software input panel):
Use this method if you know the exact Name of the item. Type the item's full name in the search string and click Add (or Enter button on SIP).
- Using Find button:
Use this method if you don't know the exact Name of the item you want to add to the credit memo or you want to add item based on its sales description. Type the item Name or part of description in the search string and click Find button, the Find/Add window will appear, filled with inventory items, which Name or Sales Description contain the entered search string, allowing the user to add multiple items to the credit memo.
- Using scanner:
The barcode scanner can be used to add inventory items to the credit memo. Scanning an item barcode adds the scanned item to the list. The system allows adding several rows to the credit memo for items with the same Name, but different units of measure. If the scanned item (Name and Unit of measure) is already in the list, then the system increments the Qty value of the item by 1.
Deleting Items for Credit Memo
- In the app, go to Main > Sales.
- Type customer's name in Look for customer field you want to edit credit memo for or type % sign to see the list of the customers to find the correct one in the list.
- Long tap on customer you want to edit credit memo for and tap Credit Memo button.
- Tap any credit memo you want to edit and tap Edit button.
- Long-tap the item you want to delete and tap delete button.
