HandiFox allows creating reports templates for different types of transactions, modifying different sections, adding logos, changing fonts, etc.

  • Select Report drop-down menu allows choosing a report for any type of transactions.
  • Zoom drop-down menu allows choosing a preview size.
  • Custom field allows typing in a custom preview size.
  • Customize button allows customizing the report. To be able to customize a report, a copy must be created. Scroll down for the breakdown of the Customize window.
  • Copy button allows copying reports for further customization.
  • Delete button allows deleting templates. Please, note that it is not possible to delete default templates.
  • Include Inactive checkbox allows working with inactive templates.
  • Save button allows saving the changes.
  • Close button allows closing the window.

Customizing Reports and Templates

On the computer, you can customize templates for any transactions by using a wide range of different settings.

  1. In QuickBooks, go to File → HandiFox → Customize Reports.
  2. Choose any report you need to customize in the Select Report dropdown.
  3. Choose any type of template (2 Inch or letter size) and click on Copy.
  4. Click on this copy and click on Customize.
    1. Template is inactive checkbox allows making template inactive.
    2. Format (…) button allows changing the format of the data and its placement on the sheet.
    3. Check all the lines you want to see in your report.
    4. Title of any field can be changed simply by typing in new information.
    5. Default button allows returning the settings to default values.
    6. Print Preview button allows using print preview.
    7. Basic Customization button allows further customization of the report.
    8. OK button allows saving changes.
    9. Cancel button allows leaving the screen without saving changes.

  1. Click on Basic Customization to customize the logo, color, font and company information.
    1. Check Use Logo checkbox and click on Select Logo, then choose your logo from a folder on your computer.
    2. Select a color in the Select Color Scheme dropdown menu and click on Apply Color Scheme.
    3. Select the necessary line in Change Font For section and then click on Change Font… to choose a font. Click OK to save.
    4. Check any Company Information lines that you want to appear on the template.
    5. Click on Print Preview to see how it will appear on the actual paper sheet.
    6. Click OK to save the changes.
    7. Click on Cancel to close the Basic Customization window.
  2. Click OK to save the changes.

Making Templates Inactive

In HandiFox you can make a template inactive in case you don't need it but may consider using it in the future.

  1. In QuickBooks, go to File → HandiFox → Customize Reports.
  2. Choose any report you need to customize in the Select Report dropdown.
  3. Click on Customize.
  4. Check the Template Is Inactive checkbox.
  5. Click on OK to save the changes.

Deleting Templates

In HandiFox you can delete a template in case you don’t need it anymore.

  1. In QuickBooks, go to File → HandiFox → Customize Reports.
  2. Choose any report you need to delete in the Select Report dropdown. Please, note that you can’t delete default templates.
  3. Click on Delete to delete the template.

Printing from Handheld Devices

  1. On your handheld device, go to Handifox application → Admin → Settings → Select printer.
  2. Tap on Add Printer. You will be prompted to choose the type of printer that you are going to use.
  3. Choose either 2 inch or Letter format. Type in the name of the preset and select the resolution. You can also check “Use by default” to make the preset a default one. Click Save when you are done.
  4. If you change between several formats and/or printers, add as many presets as you need at this step.
  5. Whenever you want to print a transaction, select it, then tap the vertical ellipsis menu ( Contextmenu.PNG ) at the top-right corner of the screen and tap “Print”.
